Common questions

Where does Reelish work?

The upcoming Chrome extension works with Facebook and Instagram reel captions in desktop Chrome. The public release is coming soon; the website dashboard is still in development.

What if the recipe is only in the video?

Reelish works with captions. It doesn’t transcribe audio or read text inside a video. Missing ingredients or directions are flagged rather than invented.

Can I extract a recipe from just a link?

Website recipe imports are being developed and are not publicly available yet. The upcoming Chrome extension reads captions from an open Facebook or Instagram recipe reel.

How does the extension choose a photo?

The extension captures the current frame of the open reel. If a photo cannot be captured, the recipe text is still available.

Where are my recipes stored?

The upcoming extension stores recipes on your device. You can keep a copy in notes or as a PDF. Accounts and cloud sync are not available yet.

Can I take my recipes with me?

The upcoming extension offers formatted copying to notes and individual recipe PDF downloads, including the original source link. Keep exported copies before clearing browser data.

When can I get the Chrome extension?

The Chrome Web Store release is coming soon. The extension page will have the listing link when it’s ready. The dashboard is still in development.
